Milan, October 24th, 2026. The city of fashion wakes up with a different face. In the streets of the city center, in front of Rolex, Falconeri and the big brands around Via Montenapoleone and surroundings, not only tourists and lit shop windows pass by. They pass by. The paratroopers of the Folgore Brigade. Amaranth beret, camouflage, tactical vest and assault rifle on the shoulder. Fast step, eyes up, tight formation. They patrol on foot, stop at intersections, observe every shop window, every doorway, every person passing by. This is not a drill. It is Operation Safe Streets, but with a deployment never seen so massive in the heart of Milan’s shopping district. Trained for war, for the most dangerous scenarios in the world, now they are here. To protect citizens, shops and our streets. Shopkeepers watch them pass with relief. After months of thefts, robberies and tensions, seeing the Folgore in the street changes the perception of safety. People stop to photograph them, some thank them. The army does not replace the police. It supports them. But when you see a Folgore paratrooper in front of your store, the message is clear: the State is here, and this time it is not hiding. Milan does not stop. And today, more than ever, Milan is protected by those who are ready for anything.
